well this fine the damper first if you look at your furnace and then you go above your furnace is where your duck work is off your duck work you have trunk lines on the trunk line you got your damper and this is what the damper looks like what the damper does it allows you to control where you want the air in the house whether or not you want to push more air to a different direction of the house you would shut the damper down to do that that's what the damper does
